Setup Meta Business Suite and business portfolio

1. Go to Meta Business Suite and select Get started to set up your account.
2. Sign in with your existing Facebook/Instagram account or create a new one.
3. Select your desired business portfolio or create a new business portfolio.
   Note: Meta will disable any fake accounts. You will want to use legitimate information, even for testing purposes.

4. If you have an existing WhatsApp business phone number:
   1. Within your Facebook Business suite business portfolio, select Settings > Accounts > WhatsApp Accounts.
   2. Select + Add and add your phone number that is associated with your WhatsApp Business App account.
5. If you do not have a WhatsApp Business phone number:
   1. Sign in to GoTo Admin.
   2. From Phone system > Phone numbers, select an existing phone number you would like to use for WhatsApp messaging or order a new number.
   3. Route the phone number to your personal extension.
      Important: It's crucial to route the phone number to a personal extension so you can properly validate it in a later step.

6. Sign in to our GoTo desktop or web app.

7. Option	Description
   Contact Center customers	Select Contact Center from the left navigation menu. From the Admin section, select Inbox queues. Select an existing inbox queue or create a new one. Select the Channels tab. From the WhatsApp section, select Connect.
   Customer Engagement customers	Select Engage from the left navigation menu. Select Shared inbox settings. Select the Channels tab. From the WhatsApp section, select Connect.

   Note: If you have previously linked WhatsApp to your shared inbox, it will say Manage account.
8. From the pop-up window:
   1. Log into Facebook if you are setting this up for the first time.
   2. Once logged in, select Continue as [name].
   3. Select Get started to connect your account to your GoTo app.
   4. Select an existing business portfolio or create a new one if needed.
   5. Select Next.
   6. Select your existing WhatsApp Business account. If you don't have one, select Create a WhatsApp Business Account.
   7. Select Next.
   8. Enter or verify the WhatsApp Business Account Name and WhatsApp Business display name. The display name should match your business name and adhere to WhatsApp Business display name guidelines.
   9. Select the Category.
   10. Select Next.
   11. Enter your WhatsApp business phone number. If you did not have a WhatsApp business phone number, enter the GoTo phone number you have set up in step #5.
       Note: The phone number you enter cannot be connected to an existing WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business account.
   12. Select the Phone call option to verify your phone number.
       Note: The text message verification option will not go through and you may experience issues receiving a verification code via text message.
   13. Select Next.
   14. You will receive a phone call with your verification code. Enter the code and select Next.
   15. Select Continue to confirm GoTo-Messaging permissions.
   16. Your information may take a moment to verify. Do not navigate away from the page.
   17. Once verification is complete, select Finish.

   Result: Once completed, you will be automatically navigated back to your inbox queue or shared inbox settings page in the GoTo app. If this does not happen, refresh the app.

9. It may take a moment for GoTo to connect to WhatsApp. You'll be officially connected once you see your WhatsApp Business account name, number and inbox appear.
10. Select Save.
