How to Host a Meeting with GoToMeeting With GoToMeeting, hosting a meeting has never been easier. Start by scheduling a meeting from your “My Meetings” page. To get there, sign into your account at www.gotomeeting.com, click “schedule,” then enter a meeting title, date and time, and choose your audio options. GoToMeeting provides audio over your computer, long-distance phone numbers, and even toll-free and call me dial-in options with OpenVoice Integrated. You can opt to set someone as a co-organizer, giving them the same permissions as you. You can even set a password to add a layer of security. You can come back to your “my meetings” tab at any time to edit the meeting details or invite more attendees. You can schedule meetings directly through Outlook or Google Calendar plugins. With these integrations, you don’t have to leave your calendar app to set up a meeting. To host a meeting right away, you can do that from your “My Meetings” page. Simply click “start your meeting” then “share” to copy and send the meeting details. To begin the meeting, just click the start button. GoToMeeting will start and the control panel will appear on the right hand side. You’ll find all your meeting controls in this panel and a list of the people who have joined the meeting. With the GoToMeeting web app, you can easily share your screen right from your Chrome web browser. You won’t need to download GoToMeeting web app; there’s also no need to download the desktop version of GoToMeeting— with the web app, both you and your attendees can connect and collaborate faster. To screen share on the web app, start your meeting at app.gotomeeting.com. Enter your meeting ID and sign in like normal. GoToMeeting will instantly launch the session in your Chrome browser window. How to Screen Share on Browser with GoToMeeting Web App GoToMeeting Web App vs Desktop App: If you’ve used the desktop version, the control panel will look familiar. Click the screen icon and you’ll see a list of options to share. You can show your entire screen, or you can present a single application. Everyone else in the meeting will see your screen within their own browser. To stop screen sharing, simply click the screen icon again. Note that if this is your first time screen sharing in the web app, you’ll be asked to install the GoToMeeting Pro Screensharing extension. It takes only a few seconds, and it doesn’t interrupt the meeting. If you want someone else to share their screen in the meeting, just find their name in the attendee list and select “make presenter” from the arrow dropdown.
