How do I set up an after-hours message?
Attention: Carriers are now blocking all unregistered outbound SMS per industry regulations to combat spam. Registration is mandatory for all providers, not just GoTo Connect. Register now to restore or maintain SMS service. GoTo Connect cannot expedite carrier reviews.
Set a schedule for your chat widget and/or shared inbox so that you can have a custom message appear letting customers know that you are not open.
Contact Center
- Sign in to our GoTo desktop or web app.
- From , select the queue that needs changes made.
- From , enable Enable after-hours message & schedule.
- Choose the schedule (or create a new one) that you want your chat to follow.
- In the Message field, type the message you want displayed to your customers when they start a chat after hours (according to the selected schedule).
- Select Save when complete.
Customer Engagement
- Sign in to our GoTo desktop or web app.
- From , select Enable after-hours message & schedule.

- In the Message field, type the message you want displayed to your customers when they start a chat after hours (according to the selected schedule).
