Use automations

Create an automated message to contacts to enhance communication and business workflows.

Before you begin: You must be set up as a user and be assigned the manager role.
  1. Sign in to the desktop or web app.
  2. From your profile icon, select Settings > Inbox > Automations, and then select + Create automation or use a pre-defined template.
  3. Build your workflow: (options are dynamic based on your selections)
    1. Add a name for your automation.
    2. From For this audience, use the drop-down menu(s) to choose either all contacts or certain group(s).
    3. From When this happens, use the drop-down menu(s) to select what will trigger this automation, what groups are impacted (if you selected groups for your audience), and the time that this automation should start.
      Note: Based on the time option you select, additional fields will populate for you to complete.
    4. From Take this action, use the drop-down menu to select the action you want taken, the phone number the message will be sent from, and the message itself.
      Tip: When crafting your message, take advantage of the customization options such as our Message Assistant that will generate a custom message for you based on the tone and topic, variables to personalize your message, links, survey's, and MMS attachments.
  4. Select Save to save your progress, or Save & turn on to immediately enable the automation.

    Result: If enabled, the automation will automatically send the message to the contact(s) that meet the trigger thresholds.

  5. To make changes to an existing automation, search for and select the desired automation from the list, make any needed changes to the name or workflow including turning it on or off, and then select Save.
  6. To enable or disable an automation, turn the switch on/off accordingly from the desired automation card in the table or list view or from the specific automation's overview page.
  7. To delete an automation, select Table/List View in the list view, and then select Trash Icon next to the desired entry.
