Switch a call between devices

Use call flip to transfer a call between multiple devices assigned to a single user.

Note:
  • There are no permission checks currently in place, such as requiring the dialable password.
  • If there are multiple active calls, you cannot choose which one will flip. It will be a random system selection.
  • You can flip a call that is waiting in a queue, is in the process of being transferred, or has not been answered.

Desktop or web app

  1. While on an active call on another device, open the desktop or web app.
  2. Select Active call on another device at the top of the screen and then select Pick up to complete the switch to the desktop app.

Results: The call will automatically end on the original device. This change will be transparent to the other party.

Mobile app

  1. While on an active call on another device, open the mobile app.
  2. Select Active call at the top of your screen.
  3. Select Take the call to complete the switch to the mobile app.

Desk phone

While on an active call, dial *77 from the device you want to continue the call on.

Results: The call will automatically end on the original device. This change will be transparent to the other party.

Softphone

  1. While on an active call on another device, open the desktop or web app.
  2. Select Active call on another device at the top of the screen and then select Pick up.
