Transmit a page

Before you can successfully page, your phone must have a paging profile assigned by a system admin.

On a Polycom

  • Polycom devices are only able to send and receive pages to Polycom and Yealink devices.
  • You cannot put a call on hold and then page out successfully.
  1. Reboot the phone for the paging softkey to appear.
  2. Press the Paging softkey (displays within the idle screen).
  3. Select the desired zone(s) you'd like to page (Paging Group).
  4. Press the Page softkey (displays in the bottom right of the screen).
  5. Press the End Call softkey or simply hang up the phone to end the page.

On a Cisco

  • Can only subscribe to two zones.
  • Can only transmit to five zones.
  • Cisco devices are only able to send and receive pages to other Cisco devices.
  • The multicast paging button is only available on certain newer models of Cisco phones.
  1. Dial *96 + two-digit paging zone number or use the multicast paging button on your phone (e.g., to page zone 01, dial *9601).
  2. Hang up the phone to end the page.

On a Yealink

Before you begin: In addition to having an assigned paging profile, multicast paging must also be set up in Button Configuration for Yealinks.
  • Can only subscribe to 10 zones.
  • Yealink devices are only able to send and receive pages to Yealink and Polycom devices.
  1. Press the multicast button on your phone.
  2. Enter the paging zone number you wish to reach.
  3. Hang up the phone to end the page.

On a Panasonic

Before you begin: Depending on your model, you may need to navigate to the device web interface and enable Send Paging under Multicast Paging.
  • Can only subscribe to 10 zones.
  • The Panasonic KX-UT670 is not supported.
  • Panasonic devices cannot page to Polycom devices.
  1. Press the Paging softkey (displays within the idle screen).
  2. Select the number of the desired zone(s) you'd like to page (Paging Group).
  3. Press the Page softkey (displays in the bottom right of the screen).
  4. Press the End Call softkey or simply hang up the phone to end the page.
