Use quick dial in the softphone

Use shortcuts in the GoTo desktop and web softphone to pin contacts for quick dial, quick transfer, and to view their presence status!

  1. Sign in to the desktop or web app.
  2. From the left navigation menu, select Phone > Dial to open the softphone window.
    Note: The softphone window will open automatically when receiving an incoming call.
  3. Select Show quick dial icon to expand the Quick dial section and then choose what you want to do:
    Option Steps
    Search for a contact From Search a contact, enter a contact's name, extension, or number.
    Pin/unpin a contact
    • Select Pin contact icon to pin the contact.
    • Hover over the contact, select More icon and then Unpin to unpin the contact.
    Call a contact Hover over the contact and then select Quick dial call icon. If you are on a call, the call icon will be replaced with a transfer option to be used as a quick transfer to a pinned contact.
    Tip: Notice your pinned contact’s presence indicator on their avatar to let you know if they’re Available, Busy, Away, DND, or Offline.
    Hide the quick dial section Select Hide quick dial icon.
