Use shortcuts in the GoTo desktop and web softphone to pin contacts for quick dial, quick transfer, and to view their presence status!
- Sign in to the desktop or web app.
- Select Phone from the left navigation menu and then select Dial to open the softphone window. The softphone will also open when receiving an incoming call.
- Select from the top right to expand the softphone to view Quick dial.
Tip: Hide Quick dial by selecting from the top right.
- From Search a contact, enter a contact's name, extension, or number.
- Select to pin the contact to Quick dial.
Unpin a contact by hovering over a contact, selecting
, and then select
Unpin.
- Optional: Hover over the contact, select , and then choose the contact’s extension or phone number for quick dial.
- To call a contact, hover over the contact and then select . If you are on a call, the call icon will be replaced with a transfer option to be used as a quick transfer to a pinned contact.
Tip: Notice your pinned contact’s presence indicator on their avatar to let you know if they’re Available, Busy, Away, DND, or Offline.
