How do I pause/resume recording on a live call?

Pause and unpause a call recording during a live call.

Before you begin: Enable call recording on your system.
Use this feature to omit sensitive information from the call recording. Call recordings are stored and can be listened to at a later time.

Using Star Codes

This star code allows you to pause and unpause a call recording during live call from your desk phone.
  1. While on an active call, dial *7 from your phone to pause the recording.
    The agent and customer will hear one low beep when the recording has been paused.
  2. To resume the recording, dial *7 again.
    The agent and customer will hear two higher beeps when the recording has been resumed.

Using Softphone

Pause and unpause a call recording during a live call from your softphone.
Attention: Only available for Contact Center customers in call queues and campaigns.
  1. While on an active call, select the Call Record Active Icon icon from your softphone to pause the recording.
    The agent and customer will hear one low beep when the recording has been paused.
  2. To resume the recording, select the Call Record Inactive Icon icon again.
    The agent and customer will hear two higher beeps when the recording has been resumed.
