GoTo Meeting in the GoTo App

Enable and get started with the new GoTo Meeting in the GoTo app!

1What is the GoTo app?

The GoTo app is an always on collaboration workplace with one point of access for all communication needs including messaging, meetings, voice, trainings, webinars, and larger events. We are developing the full-fledged app, but you can use GoTo Meeting and join GoTo Training sessions during this time! Depending on the products you have, you will see the tabs available in the left toolbar in the GoTo desktop app or browser.

After you enable the new GoTo, you'll get access to our new app and features (such as breakouts), provide feedback on your experience, and stay up to date as new collaboration solution get added.

2Download the app

Download the GoTo app to start joining and hosting meetings! If you do not want to download the desktop app, you can manage your meetings at https://app.goto.com/meetings on a Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Chromium browser.

  1. Sign in to your account at https://global.gotomeeting.com.
  2. Select the Settings icon in the left menu.
  3. Select GoTo App.
  4. Enable Use the new GoTo, then select Get the GoTo app.
  5. You'll be taken to a new browser page. Select Download the app and go through the installation flow.
  6. Once installed, sign in to your GoTo Meeting account. You're all set to use the new GoTo app!

If this setting is grayed out, the admin may have disabled the new experience. Please reach out to your account admin -- they may need to enable the setting.

The GoTo Opener is the "helper" application that launches you into active meetings. It will run each time you join or start a session in order to connect you to your meeting.
We recommend you keep the classic version of GoTo Meeting installed on your computer especially if you are a webinar or training user.

There are several way you can start your own meeting and join other meetings. In the meeting invite (sent via email, chat, etc.) click the meeting link. Alternatively, you can join from GoTo.

We recommend you keep the classic version of GoTo Meeting installed on your computer especially if you are a webinar or training user. If you uninstalled it already and want to opt out of the Early Access Program, you will have to install it again.
We are working on adding webinar, training, messaging, voice, and more throughout 2021. If you are a GoTo Connect, GoTo Webinar, or GoTo Training user, you will see them become available in the app later this year.
If you have a GoTo Webinar and/or GoTo Training license, you can access them directly from the product.
Yes, the GoTo Meeting mobile app is still available for iOS and Android users.
The following features are not yet available on the GoTo app. View the feature comparison chart to learn more.
  • Expand/collapse panes.
  • Pause screen sharing.
  • Convert local recordings from .WEBM files.
  • Save meeting chat logs.

8Go back to the classic experience

You can switch back to the classic GoTo Meeting app to host and join meetings.

  1. Sign in to your account at https://global.gotomeeting.com.
  2. Select the Settings icon in the left menu.
  3. Select GoTo App, then disable Use the new GoTo.
  4. The next time you join or host a meeting, you will be launched in the classic GoTo Meeting desktop app or browser.

  1. Open the GoTo Application.
  2. Click your Profile icon and Feedback.
  3. Once the form is filled out, click Send.
