Send chat messages during a session

You can exchange chat messages with everyone in the meeting, only the organizer(s), or an individual attendee.

Desktop app or web

Select .
From the "To" drop-down menu, select the recipient(s) of the message:
- Everyone – All participants will see the message in their Chat pane.
- Organizer(s) only – All organizers will see the message in their Chat pane.
- Individual participant – Only the selected participant will receive the private message in the Chat pane.
Enter your message in the text field and then select Send.Enter your message in the text field, tag another participant if desired by typing in the @ sign and then selecting their name from the list, and then select Send.
Optional: If enabled by the organizer, you can pin (and unpin) public messages as desired by selecing the pin icon next to any applicable messages. Any pinned messages will appear at the top of the chat thread for others to view, including any who join the session later.

Note: The pinning and viewing of pinned messages are available in main conference rooms, but not within breakout rooms. Organizers can pin messages regardless of the setting being enabled or not for participants.
Optional: Hover over a chat message and then select the Emoji icon to choose the desired reaction for that message. You can add up to 25 emoji's on a single message.

Note: To remove an emoji, click on it underneath the message. To see who reacted with which emoji, hover over the reactions and a list of the participants will populate.
Optional: Select to save chat messages.

Mobile app

Toggle between meeting participant names in the attendee list to read and send messages.

Open the GoTo mobile app on your device.
Start or join a meeting.
Select .
Send a message to everyone or use the arrows to message other organizers or individual attendees.
