New GoToTraining In-Session Experience

Get started with the new training experience!

1About the new experience

The redesigned in-session experience makes online trainings simpler and smoother. Once the new experience is enabled, everyone will join from a Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser.

Please note that some training features are not yet available in the new experience. See here for a full list of unsupported features and limitations.

2Enable the new experience

Organizers must enable the new join experience before you can start using it.

  1. Log in to your account at
  2. Click Settings in the left menu.
  3. In the Join Options tab, select the Use the new experience setting then click Save.

3Use training features

Make the most out of your training with these features! Once you begin sharing your screen, select the Presenter mode icon to shrink the control panel and to use drawing tools.

Please note that the features listed in this article are not yet available at this time -- if you need to use these features, please switch to the classic desktop app. See What's New in the GoTo application? for information on the latest releases.

Yes, you can change your join settings to Use the classic GoToTraining or switch to the old desktop app version if the training has already started.
The new experience is only available for some of our users. If you don't see the setting in your account, you haven't been enabeld yet! Stay tuned.

The following features are targeted for the end of December. Please note that this list is not finalized and may change. See What's New in the GoTo Application? for more information on the latest releases.
  • Attentiveness
  • Breakout rooms (now live!)
  • Ability to include computer media sound (now live!)
  • Ability to share videos with audio
  • Ability to detach control panel when presenting (now live!)
  • Drawing tools (now live!)
  • Local recording (now live!)
  • Ability to use virtual backgrounds (now live!)
If you see a "Your browser is not supported" error, that means GoToTraining cannot be launched in your current browser. Please switch to a Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Chromium browser and try joining again.
