How do I set up instant response text messages?
DEADLINE EXTENDED: United States carriers will block all unregistered SMS in 2025 due to an industry-mandated regulation to protect consumers (your customers) from spam texts. Don’t wait - complete SMS registration no later than January 14, 2025 if you wish to send text messages.
Enable instant response to send an automatic text response to missed calls from new customers. Customize different instant response messages for each phone number as needed.
Instant response messages will not be sent for the following reasons:
- First-time callers who leave a voicemail
- Repeat callers
- Callers who hang up without selecting an extension
- Sign in to GoTo Admin.
- Select and then choose the phone number.
- Select the Settings tab and then choose Instant Response.
- In the Instant response message field, customize the message as needed.
- Enable Activate Instant Response.
- Select Save.
