Phone & voicemail
- Find me/Follow me: Customize what happens when someone calls your extension, when you don’t answer, and/or when the call fails. You can select from other extensions on your account or use external numbers as well, such as your personal cell number. Learn more.
- Blocked numbers: Add ten-digit external numbers to your block list with an optional description. Use * as a wildcard to broaden call filter criteria (e.g., 800* filters calls from 1-800 numbers, *4437 filters all calls ending in 4437).
- To block calls from a phone number system-wide, an admin must set up a call filter. Note that it is not possible to block SMS/MMS messages using a call filter; this needs to be implemented from the mobile app.
- Voicemail greeting: Record and manage your various greeting types.
- Dial pad tones: Enable or disable the sound on your dial plan when typing numbers in the app.
- Caller ID: Customize your caller ID preferences, such as hiding it from your recipients when you make outbound calls, changing the default caller ID used, or using the original callers ID as your callback when returning their call.
- A system admin must enable outbound caller ID selection on your phone numbers to manage your caller ID settings.
- Call options: Add your personal mobile number and determine how you want to make outgoing calls (VoIP or PSTN). Watch video.
- If using your cellular network for outbound calls, the caller ID will show your GoTo phone number instead of your mobile phone number.
- Emergency location: Keep your emergency location current. When placing an emergency call from the GoTo mobile app, GoTo will default to the native dialer of the smartphone to allow the wireless provider to handle the call and determine your location via GPS. However, if wireless service is unavailable, but a network connection (e.g., wi-fi) is available, GoTo will attempt to place the emergency call using the location information entered here. Any address entered will be put under review for validation. It is your responsibility to correct any mistakes if an address comes back as invalid.
