How do I set up email notifications and other voicemail options in GoToConnect?
Click the Settings icon in the left
From the Voicemail tab > Button
configuration section, enable voicemail-to-email notifications and then enter
recipient's email address.
Notifications can only be delivered
to a single email address. If you need to deliver your notifications to a
group, use an email alias (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org) or create an auto-forward
rule in your email client.
Notifications will come from
email@example.com, so make sure this address is not marked as SPAM or junk
Using a specially formatted email
address defined by cell phone carriers, emergency notifications can be sent
via text message (SMS). As of this writing, the formats below may be used
(replace "number" with a 10 digit mobile number with no hyphens).
Optional-Enable Email voicemail recordings.
If enabled, choose the format:
WAV49: Smaller file size (default,
WAV: Larger file size, more
compatible with mobile devices.
Optional-Enable Delete messages after
Checking this box will prevent
voicemail management from a phone. Deletion is permanent; we cannot retrieve
Optional voicemail settings
Allow message review: Allows the
caller listen to their message and optionally re-record.
Enabling this setting does
not automatically prompt callers to press # after recording their
voicemail. You will need to include these instructions in your
Escape to operator: Allows a caller
to press zero to be transferred to a specified extension, rather than
leaving a message.
Password: Changes your password
(default is 0000). Password must be at least four digits.
