Create a dial by name directory to allow your callers to reach an extension without knowing it from memory.

Your system comes ready with an internal directory (includes all extensions) that is assigned as the default directory. You can edit this directory or create a new default directory that internal users can access by dialing
*11.

You must be assigned the Admin or Super admin role to perform this task.

Create a dial by name directory
Set the default dial by name directory
Your system comes ready with an internal directory (includes all extensions) that is assigned as the default and accessed by dialing *11. However, you can change this default directory to any other dial by name directory you have created.
Before you begin:
You must be assigned an Admin or Super admin role to perform this task.
- Sign in to PBX Administration (classic) at https://my.jive.com/pbx.
- Click System Settings in the left sidebar.
- From , select the desired default Dial-by-name Directory.
- Click Save.
