Alpine School District is comprised of an Elementary School, Jr. High School, and High School. Each principal needs to broadcast announcements (pages) to the hallways, cafeteria, or classrooms by dialing the appropriate zone number from their phone. Complete the following for each school.
Icon | Term | Description |
---|---|---|
Paging Realm | Group of zones inside a single local area network (LAN) | |
Zone | Group of subscribing devices | |
Paging Profile | Defines which zones a device can send and/or receive pages from | |
Transmit Device | Device that sends pages | |
Subscribe Device | Device that receives pages, sometimes a speaker (IP Amplifier) |
What to do next: Each device used in multicast paging will need its respective paging profile assigned. Users that have the same paging permissions can share a single paging profile by assigning the that paging profile to each of their devices.
