Example of a paging system setup
Before you begin: This article assumes you've already set up your
paging realms and profiles.
Alpine School District is comprised of an Elementary School, Jr. High School, and High School. Each principal needs to broadcast announcements (pages) to the hallways, cafeteria, or classrooms by dialing the appropriate zone number from their phone. Complete the following for each school.

- Assign the zones as follows:
- Zone 01 = Hallways
- Zone 02 = Cafeteria
- Zone 03 = Classrooms
- Set the following permissions and select Save:
Zone Membership Setting 01 Hallways Subscribe only 02 Cafeteria No subscribe or transmit 03 Classrooms No subscribe or transmit - Set the following permissions and select Save:

What to do next: Each device used in multicast paging will need its respective paging profile assigned. Users that have the same paging permissions can share a single paging profile by assigning the that paging profile to each of their devices.
