Why can't I share my iOS screen?
If you are having trouble sharing your screen from your iOS device, review the troubleshooting tips below.
You might be connected to an external display.
Make sure you are not connected to an external display (e.g., AirPlay or via cable) in the Control Center. If you are, switch the external display back to
iPhone or
iPad.
You might have set content restrictions.
Make sure you have allowed screen recording. Once allowed,
add it to your device's Control Center.
- Open your device settings.
- Tap Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions > Screen Recording > Allow.
Note: Steps may vary depending on the device and operating system.
