Use Toll-Free Numbers
Admins can enable organizers with Toll-Free Numbers, which provides toll-free conferences to GoTo Meeting, GoTo Webinar, and GoTo Training sessions. This telephone conferencing service allows organizers to add up to 500 session participants in audio-only mode in addition to their attendees who have audio, video, screen sharing, and chat capabilities. When an organizer sends out a session invitation, the toll-free numbers (including international numbers) will be included.
Enable toll-free numbers for new users
- Sign in to the GoTo Admin Center (classic) at https://admin.logmeininc.com.
- Select Admin Settings in the navigation menu.
- In the New User Settings Templates section, select Edit.
- Next to the desired template, select in the Settings column.
- Choose the appropriate product tab, and under the Audio section, locate the Toll-free numbers setting.
- Choose the On option and then Save.
- In the Details column, next to Toll-free numbers and select the countries listed.
- Enable the countries you'd like to include toll-free numbers for.
- Default – These countries will be listed first in the Countries drop-down list.
- Preferred – This country will be displayed at the top of the Countries drop-down list.
- Select Apply.
Results: You can now set new organizers with this template setting.
Enable toll-free numbers for individual users
- Sign in to the GoTo Admin Center (classic) at https://admin.logmeininc.com.
- Select Manage Users in the navigation menu.
- Choose the desired organizer.
- Under Settings, select Edit.
- Choose the appropriate product tab, and under the Audio section, locate the Toll-free numbers setting.
- Select the Status in the Toll-free numbers row.
- Choose the On option and then Save.
- Select the details next to Toll-free numbers and check the countries you'd like to include toll-free numbers for.
- Default – These countries will be listed first in the Countries drop-down list.
- Preferred – This country will be displayed at the top of the Countries drop-down list.
- Select Apply.
Results: This individual user will now have the toll-free audio option.
Enable toll-free numbers for multiple users
- Sign in to the GoTo Admin Center (classic) at https://admin.logmeininc.com.
- Select User Settings in the navigation menu.
- Select the desired product tab and use the Filter category and Filter by drop-down menus to select a group of users.
- Scroll down to Change Settings section and choose Toll-free numbers.
- Select the On option and then Save.
- In the Details column, and Toll-free numbers row, select Countries.
- Enable the countries you'd like to include toll-free numbers for.
- Default – These countries will be listed first in the Countries drop-down list.
- Preferred – This country will be displayed at the top of the Countries drop-down list.
- Select Apply.
Results: These users will now have the toll-free audio option.
What's the difference between using toll vs. toll-free numbers?
Admins can provide toll, toll-free, or VoIP audio options in a GoTo Meeting, GoTo Webinar, or GoTo Training session.
- Toll numbers – A list of local toll numbers can be provided for attendees to call in during the session. However,the attendees are responsible for paying any charges they may incur through their telephone service provider, such as a rate-per-minute or higher rate for calling a long-distance number.
- Toll-free numbers – A list of toll-free numbers (typically starting with 1-800 or 0800) can be provided for attendees to call in during the session. However, the account holder (organizer) that is hosting the session is responsible for all charges of the attendees dialing in, therefore attendees dial in for free.
- VoIP – You can allow attendees to connect to the session using their computer or mobile device's microphone and speakers. If using a mobile device, the attendee is responsible for paying any charges they may incur through their telephone service provider for using data to connect to the session.
How do I add or remove countries for local and/or toll-free numbers?
Admins can manage the countries provided for toll and/or toll-free numbers during GoTo Meeting, GoTo Webinar, and GoTo Training sessions.
Manage settings for a single user
- Sign in to the GoTo Admin Center (classic) at https://admin.logmeininc.com.
- Select Manage Users in the navigation menu.
- Locate and select your desired user to open their User Details page.
- In the Settings pane, select Edit.
- In Single User Settings, select your desired product.
- For Long distance numbers and/or Toll-free numbers, choose from the following settings:
- Status – Select from On, Off, or Disabled, then select Save.
- Details – Select the countries hyperlink, then select your desired countries and select Apply.
