Quickstart

Learn how to do the most common functions on your phone.

Tip: For a more in-depth look at your phone, please see the manufacturer's user manual.

Call Forwarding

Automatically forward incoming calls to an internal extension or external number.

Tip: If you need to forward a single call, tap the Forward softkey while your phone rings.
  1. Tap the Setting softkey.
  2. Scroll to Features and then select Call Forward.
  3. Select your desired forwarding type.
    • Always: Forwards all incoming calls.
    • No Answer: Forwards all unanswered incoming calls.
    • Busy: Forwards all incoming calls while you're in a call.
  4. Dial the forwarding destination (internal extension or external number).
  5. If you selected No Answer , enter how many rings to wait before forwarding.
  6. Tap .
To disable call forwarding, turn off the forwarding type.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Stop your phone from ringing and send all incoming calls directly to voicemail.

  1. Tap the Setting softkey.
  2. Scroll to Features and then select DND.

    Your phone logs any missed calls in your call history.

Voicemail Access

Check your voicemail from your phone.

  1. Dial *99.
  2. Dial your password (default 0000).

Speed Dial

Assign regularly dialed numbers to additional line keys on your phone.

There are 4 additional DSS keys that are programmable as speed dials. To access your contact list, swipe left to right on the home screen.
  1. Press .
  2. Change the Type to Speed Dial.
  3. Enter a Name and Number.
  4. Tap .

3-Way Calls

Speak with two parties simultaneously by creating a mini-conference call on your line.

  1. While on an active call, tap the More > New Call softkeys.

    Tip: To add multiple members at a time, tap Invite. Members will be added automatically when they answer.

  2. Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.
  3. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
  4. Tap the Merge Calls softkey.

Warm Transfer

Place a current call on hold and speak with the destination party before transferring the call.

  1. While on an active call, tap the More > New Call softkeys.
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Speak to the destination party.

    Tip: To cancel a warm transfer and go back to the original call, tap the Cancel or EndCall softkey.

  4. Tap Transfer and then tap the original call.

Blind Transfer

Transfer a call to another party without speaking to them first.

  1. While on an active call, tap the More > Transfer softkeys.
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).

    Tip: To transfer a call directly to voicemail, dial 0 + extension.

Hold

Place a call on hold while you take some time to look up an answer to a question or answer another call.

  1. Tap the Hold softkey.
  2. Tap the Resume softkey to retrieve the call.

    Tip: If multiple calls are on hold on a single line, use the arrow keys to switch between the calls then tap the Resume softkey to retrieve the desired call. If more than two calls are on hold on a single key, an indication will appear on the display, for example “2/3” shows that this is the second call out of three calls.

Modify Ringtone

Choose a new ringtone for your phone or assign a different ringtone to each of your lines.

  1. Tap the Setting softkey.
  2. Select Sound > Ring Tones.
  3. If there are multiple lines assigned to your phone, select the line you wish to modify.
  4. Select the desired ringtone (highlight to sample ringtones).

    Note: This phone does not support silent ringtones.

  5. Tap .

Presence Monitoring

Visually monitor the speed dial contacts assigned to your phone to know whether or not they are on an active call. These line keys will light up (busy lamp field) indicating if someone is busy or available.

  • To presence monitor, a system admin must enable this feature on your phone.
  • The lines you want to presence monitor must be speed dial assignments on your phone.
  • The number of contacts you can presence monitor is limited the number of line keys on your phone.

Provisioning

  1. Verify you have created a device profile.
  2. Verify you have assigned the phone's MAC address to the device profile.
  3. Verify you have properly plugged in the phone.

From the Web UI

Learn how to provision your phone from the web UI.

  1. Tap the Menu softkey.
  2. Select Status and then write down the phone's IP Address.
  3. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, enter the IP address in the address (URL) bar and then press enter on your keyboard. If the web UI doesn't load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.
  4. Enter your Device Admin Password.

    Tip: To find your password, log in at https://my.jive.com/pbx and then click Security in the left sidebar.

  5. Go to Settings > Auto Provision.
  6. Enter http://‹domain›.onjive.com/p for the Provisioning Server.

    Note: Replace ‹domain› with your unique domain (found in parentheses at the top of the admin portal dashboard).

  7. Click Confirm > Autoprovision Now > Yes.
If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.

Reset Secure Provisioning

After you factory reset a phone, you’ll need to reset secure provisioning from the admin portal so it can reconnect.

  1. Log in at https://my.jive.com/pbx.
  2. Click Devices in the left sidebar and then choose the device that needs secure provisioning reset.
  3. From Hardware > Reset Secure Provisioning, click Reset.
