How do I manage my contacts in the app?
Add, update, or delete external contacts and control who shows up in your favorites.
Your internal directory is automatically added to
GoTo.
Prerequisite: Over the next couple of weeks (as of 7/20/2023), when you select Contacts in the GoTo desktop app, you will view all contacts in the main window, as well as search from the main window instead of the side panel. This is the foundation for more bulk contacts management features to come!
GoTo Connect has revamped the contacts categories to become the following:
- Company: Non-editable users added by your system admin.
- Private: Editable contacts added by the individual user. Private contacts are only visible to the user who created the contact.
- Shared: Editable contacts added by a user and are visible to all other users in the organization. Only available for Contact Center and Customeer Engagement customers.
- Local: Non-editable contacts retrieved from the user's mobile device, if permission was given by the user in the device's settings.

Select Contacts in the left navigation menu.
Prerequisite: For PBX Administration (classic) users, instructions on how to import contacts using .csv upload can be found here.
