Import contacts in bulk in the admin portal
Add your existing customized contacts into your softphones using a spreadsheet (.csv).
Before you begin: Your .csv file must be complete and formatted correctly before importing. You can export your existing list as an example or you can download our template to see the correct formatting and required information.
Note: These instructions are for the PBX Administration (classic) portal only. If you are using the GoTo Connect App to create or import contacts, please refer to How do I manage my contacts in the app.
- Contacts imported will appear as private contacts only.
- You can only upload one file at a time as each upload replaces the previous file. We suggest you export your existing list, make any needed changes, and import the list back into your system.
- There is a limit of 2000 contacts per import. Duplicates will not be ignored or consolidated into a single contact.
- This feature only applies to our GoTo desktop and web app.
- Each contact can only have one phone number and all phone numbers must be in E164 formatting (example: +1234567890).
- The file must be saved as a CSV UTF-8 file.
What to do next: This new contact list is automatically added to your existing contacts list for use in
GoTo Connect desktop or mobile.
