How do I integrate with Microsoft Outlook?

Integrate your phone system with Outlook. Share your Outlook contacts with your GoToConnect contact list and click a phone number within Outlook to initiate a call.

Before you begin:
Restriction: This Outlook Integration does not work with private hosted versions of exchange.

Outlook for Desktop

Before you begin:
Important: You must have Outlook 2016 or newer to operate this integration.
  1. From Microsoft Outlook, click Get add-ins from the toolbar in the home tab.
  2. Search for GoToConnect and then click Add.
  3. Click GoToConnect from the toolbar in the home tab and then log in with your GoToConnect credentials.
  4. Select your line.
  5. Click Share my contacts with GoToConnect and link your account from the integrations dashboard.
    Your Outlook contacts now appear in GoToConnect.
What to do next:
Note: To view your organization’s Outlook company contacts, your O365 global admin needs to enable importing company contacts.
When you initiate a call from the app, it first sends the call to your desk phone or GoToConnect (the app must be open), waits for you to pick it up, and then finally completes the call to the outbound number.

Outlook on the Web

Before you begin:
Note: For the integration to work properly, you must disable the block third-party cookies setting in your browser cookie settings.
  1. From Microsoft Outlook, click Microsoft Outlook Add-Ins Icon at the top of an email. If you don't see the icon, click Microsoft Outlook Web Three-Dot Icon and then click Get Add-ins.
  2. Search for GoToConnect and then click Add.
  3. From an email, click Microsoft Outlook Web Three-Dot Icon and then click GoToConnect.

    Note: To add the icon to the top of your emails, go to Microsoft Outlook for Web Settings Icon > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Customize actions > Message surface, click the checkmark for GoToConnect and then click Save.

  4. Click Sign in to GoToConnect in the right sidebar and then log in with your GoToConnect credentials.
  5. Select your line.
  6. Click Share my contacts with GoToConnect and link your account from the integrations dashboard.
    Your Outlook contacts now appear in GoToConnect.
