Forward texts to email

Attention: Carriers are now blocking all unregistered outbound SMS per industry regulations to combat spam. Registration is mandatory for all providers, not just GoTo Connect. Register now to restore or maintain SMS service. GoTo Connect cannot expedite carrier reviews.

Forward text messages to your email. Texting is only available in the US and Canada.

Before you begin: To forward text messages, a system admin must enable this feature for you.

Desktop or web app

  1. Sign in to the desktop or web app.
  2. Select your profile picture in the top right and then choose Settings.
  3. From Messages, turn on inbound and/or outbound text to email forwarding for your desired phone number(s).

    Result: Texts can only be forwarded to your account email address. Email communications will be sent from @goto.com, @jive.com or @jivecommunications.com. Please ensure these domains are allowed so that emails are not automatically filtered as spam.

Mobile app

  1. Sign in to the GoTo mobile app.
  2. From your profile picture in the top left, select Notifications.
  3. From Messages, enable the toggle for New messages.
  4. Optional: Choose the voicemail sound notification from Sound.
  5. Enable the toggle for Also notify me by email to receive text notifications.
    1. Select Email options.
      Texts can only be forwarded to your account email address. Email communications will be sent from @goto.com, @jive.com or @jivecommunications.com. Please ensure these domains are allowed so that emails are not automatically filtered as spam.
    2. Enable the toggle for the phone numbers you’d like to receive email notifications.
    3. Optional: Enable the toggle for Inbound texts and Outbound texts notifications.
