How do I transcribe my recordings and videos?

Transcriptions is the text representation of your video. It automatically transcribes your webinar event recording and uploaded videos, and displays it on the GoTo Stage video page.

In transcripts, you can do the following:
  • Search for keywords and key content using the Search bar.
  • Copy the transcript and paste it anywhere.
  • Undo and redo your edits.
Note: Transcriptions currently only supports English.

Enable the auto-transcribe setting

Auto-Transcribe allows GoTo Webinar to automatically transcribe all recordings and uploaded videos. If you do not want all your videos transcribed, you can manually generate them.
  1. Sign in to your account at https://dashboard.gotowebinar.com.
  2. Click the Settings icon in the left menu.
  3. Open the Recording field and toggle the Auto-Transcribe feature.

Generate transcripts

  1. Sign in to your account at https://dashboard.gotowebinar.com.
  2. Click the Video Library icon in the left menu.
  3. Click the More icon next to the desired video and Edit Transcript.
  4. Click Generate Transcript. The transcript will begin to process and will be available soon.

Edit a transcript

  1. Sign in to your account at https://dashboard.gotowebinar.com.
  2. Click the Video Library icon in the left menu.
  3. Click the More icon next to the desired video and Edit Transcript.
  4. Click into the transcripts and make the desired changes.
    Note: You can currently only edit one sentence at a time.
  5. Once finished, click Save Changes.
    CAUTION: If you regenerate the transcript, it will remove all your edits and revert back to the original version.
