Join a Phone Mode Support Session

Learn how to join a Phone Mode support session, either via a customer portal or the standalone customer application.

  1. Use the Code Management window to create a new session code and send it to the customer.
  2. The customer can join in either of the following ways:
    • Join via a customer portal

      Customers can open a web browser, go to a Phone Mode customer portal (either the unique SmartPin™ portal created for your account, or and enter the 9-digit session code you created in Step #1 above.

    • Join via the standalone customer application

      Customers can launch the GoToAssist Corporate Customer Standalone desktop app for Windows (.exe) or Mac (.dmg) to open the standalone customer application and enter the 9-digit session code you created in Step #1.

  3. The GoToAssist Corporate Customer application will be downloaded onto the customer's computer (if not already pre-installed) and launch the customer directly into the session you created in Step #1. See Features Overview to learn about what you can do once you're in a support session.
