Send an outbound WhatsApp message
Use WhatsApp templates to send outbound messages to customers who have yet to message you, or who have not sent you a message in the last 24 hours.
WhatsApp outbound messaging is intended for WhatsApp phone numbers only. GoTo does not validate whether the phone number is registered on WhatsApp before attempting to send the message. As a result, if the number is not a WhatsApp phone number, an
error will be displayed, notifying that the message was not delivered because the phone number is not associated with WhatsApp.
Important: WhatsApp messaging limits and charges may apply.
- Sign in to the desktop or web app.
- From Inbox, select + Create to create a new message.
- Select the desired WhatsApp phone number using the From drop-down menu.
- Select a contact using the To drop-down menu.
- Select a WhatsApp template. If applicable, you must fill out any required variables or file uploads if the template includes them before you can send the message.
- Send your message.
