Send an outbound WhatsApp message

Use WhatsApp templates to send outbound messages to customers who have yet to message you, or who have not sent you a message in the last 24 hours.

Before you begin: You must be set up as a user and assigned the team member role or agent role.

WhatsApp outbound messaging is intended for WhatsApp phone numbers only. GoTo does not validate whether the phone number is registered on WhatsApp before attempting to send the message. As a result, if the number is not a WhatsApp phone number, an error will be displayed, notifying that the message was not delivered because the phone number is not associated with WhatsApp.

Sign in to our GoTo desktop or web app.
From the left navigation, select Inbox.
Select + Create to create a new message.
Select the desired WhatsApp phone number in the From drop-down.
Select a contact in the To drop-down.
Select Select a WhatsApp template.
If applicable, you must fill out any required variables or file uploads if the template includes them before you can send the message.
Send your message.
