Why am I not prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication every time I sign in?
You will only be prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) if you have ended an active sign-in session.
However, you may be prompted to enter a code from your authenticator app during the sign-in process if there are contributing high-risk factors involved with your sign-in session, which may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- You are accessing a page containing sensitive information for your account
- There is detection of unusual activity
- There is a sign-in attempt from an unidentified and/or suspicious location
