Delete user's data in the admin portal

Admins can permanently delete user data, giving them more control over their privacy.

GoTo Admin

If you're an admin who signs in at https://admin.goto.com, these steps are for you.
Before you begin: You must have an admin or super admin role to perform this task.
  1. Sign in to GoTo Admin.
  2. To remove voicemails:
    1. Select Phone system (phone in a cloud) icon Phone system from the left navigation menu and then either Direct extensions, Ring groups, or Shared voicemail.
    2. Choose the extension that needs data removed.
    3. From Settings > Voicemail > Voicemail clearing, select Clear voicemails and then confirm by selecting Clear.
    Note: This will remove all voicemails, greetings, and other associated data on the mailbox.
  3. To remove text messages:
    1. Select Phone system (phone in a cloud) icon Phone system from the left navigation menu.
    2. Select Phone numbers and then choose the phone number that needs data removed.
    3. From Settings > Texting > Texts clearing, select Clear SMS and then confirm by selecting Clear.
    Note: This will remove messages on our side only. If messages were sent to external numbers, copies would be kept by the other carriers involved.
  4. To remove a call from your call history, select Contact Support.Contact Support button
    Note: This action is permanent.

PBX Administration (classic)

If you're an admin who signs in at https://my.jive.com/pbx, these steps are for you.
Before you begin: You must have an admin or super admin role to perform this task.
  1. Sign in to PBX Administration (classic).
  2. To remove voicemails:
    1. Select Lines, Ring Groups, or Shared Voicemail from the left navigation menu and then choose the extension that needs data removed.
    2. From Voicemail > Privacy Options, select Clear Voicemails and then confirm by selecting Clear.
    Note: This will remove all voicemails, greetings, and other associated data on the mailbox.
  3. To remove text messages:
    1. Select Phone Numbers from the left navigation menu and then choose the phone number that needs data removed.
    2. From General > Privacy Options, select Clear Messages and then confirm by selecting Clear.
    Note: This will remove messages on our side only. If messages were sent to external numbers, copies would be kept by the other carriers involved.
