How do I assign a user to a direct extension in GoTo Admin?

Assign a user to a direct extension, also known as a line. The direct extension can be assigned as a primary or secondary extension.

Users can only be assigned to only one primary extension but can be assigned to an unlimited number of secondary extensions. If you assign a user to a primary extension when the user is already assigned to a different primary extension, the user will be reassigned.
Before you begin: You must be assigned an Admin or Super admin role to perform this task.
  1. Sign in to GoTo Admin.
  2. From Phone system > Direct extensions, select the direct extension where you want to assign a user.
  3. From the Overview tab, and then the Assign to card, select +Assign to user.
  4. Enter the name of the user or choose a user from the drop-down list.
  5. Choose if the extension should be a primary or secondary extension for the user.

  6. Select Assign.
