How do I create and manage materials? (Classic)
Materials are media files and web links that attendees can download onto their devices. Organizers can use materials to have attendees review content or complete tasks before, during or after a session.
Add materials to your Library
- Sign in to your account at https://global.gototraining.com.
- Click Library in the left menu.
- On the Materials tab, click + Add Material.
- Select 1 of the options:
- From computer – Use this option to upload a new file from your computer. Click Select a file less than 100MB, select your file, add a description, then click Save. Note that GoToTraining supports all file types as long as it is less than 100MB.
- Add link – Use this option to add a hyperlink to a file that is hosted elsewhere (such as a video that is uploaded to YouTube). Add the URL, a title and description, then click Add Link.
- From computer – Use this option to upload a new file from your computer. Click Select a file less than 100MB, select your file, add a description, then click Save. Note that GoToTraining supports all file types as long as it is less than 100MB.
- The material will automatically be saved to your Library, where you can access it at any time and add it to any future sessions.
Add materials directly to a training
You can add as many materials as desired to your session.
Edit or remove materials from a training
On the Manage Training page, click Edit in the Tests section.
- To edit the material, click its title.
- To remove the material, click the Delete icon
next to it. Caution – this action cannot be undone!
