Opening the Remote Terminal

Open a fully functional command prompt (PowerShell on Windows and Terminal on Mac) on deployed hosts without needing to start a remote session.

Note: Remote terminal is available on Lite and Pro devices, for free and paid plans as well. See What are Pro devices?.
  1. In the Console, go to the Devices page.
Remember: You can only start a remote terminal session to online devices.
  2. Hover over a device and select Manage > Launch terminal.
Note: You can also open the remote terminal by clicking a device and on the top of the detailed device page you select Launch terminal on the right.
  3. Enter your zero trust signature key and select Proceed.
    The remote terminal opens.
  4. Use the terminal as if you were sitting in front of the managed device.
Note: This feature is under development for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2016 environments.
