Apple Business Manager (ABM)
Apple Business Manager (ABM) is Apple’s own web portal where IT administrators can see Apple devices and app licenses purchased by their organization and assign the devices for remote management.
Apple Business Manager was launched in 2018, integrating Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP) and Apple Device Enrollment Program (DEP) into a single platform.
About Apple Business Manager
Apple Business Manager (ABM) is Apple’s own web portal where IT administrators can see Apple devices and app licenses purchased by their organization and assign the devices for remote management.
Benefits
When used together with an MDM solution, like LogMeIn Resolve MDM, ABM can automate the initial setup and configuration of Apple devices. Automation saves hours of manual work especially if your organization has a large number of devices. You can also make the MDM enrollment mandatory and deny users from unenrolling the device from remote management which both are very effective theft-deterrent features.
