Integrate with Slack

Integrate your phone system with Slack. Manage voicemail, click to call, text messages, log in and out of call queues, see which agents are servicing specific queues, and create queue groups for bulk actions.

Before you begin: To install GoTo Connect’s Slack App, you must have permissions on your Slack workspace (usually a Workspace Admin).
  1. Click here to install GoTo Connect to your workspace.
  2. To activate the integration and Google Dialogflow functionality, select Allow twice in the authorization screens. (If you are using multiple workspaces, you can select it from the drop-down menu in the top-right corner).
  3. In the search field at the top of the Slack, search for "gotoconnect" and then select the GoTo ConnectApp.
  4. At the bottom, enter /gtc link to connect Slack and GoTo Connect.
  5. Select Connect GoTo Connect Account.
  6. In the integration dashboard window, select Link Accounts in GoTo Connect.
Tip: When linking for the first time on your workspace, a new window might pop up, select Allow.
  7. In the conversation with the GoTo Connect App, enter /gtc configure.
  8. Choose your line/device and voicemail notification preferences.
  9. Select Save.
What to do next: When you initiate a call from the app, it first sends the call to your desk phone or softphone (the app must be open), waits for you to pick it up, and then finally completes the call to the outbound number.
Tip: Type help to view a list of the GoTo Connect App's commands.
