2Set up GoToConnect user access

Note: You must have admin or super admin permissions to complete these steps.

  1. Log in at https://my.jive.com/pbx.
  2. Click Users in the left sidebar and verify that all remote users have been added to the system. If you need to add a new user, click Wizard.
  3. Go through each user’s profile and verify that the JiveID field has a unique, correct email address and that Allow Web Login is toggled on.
  4. Click Devices in the left sidebar and verify that each user has an assigned device. If you need to add a device to a user, click Add Device.
  5. Click Users in the left sidebar again and verify that each remote user has a green flower as their product. If the green flower does not appear, it might be because the user already has GoToMeeting. Only one Meetings experience can be setup per email address.

Send the GoToConnect User Guide to all your remote users so they can:

  1. Create an account
  2. Download and install GoToConnect
  3. Customize their GoToConnect settings
  4. Learn how to use GoToConnect

4Promotion FAQs

Here are some common questions about our 90-day “Meetings Free” promotion.

An admin or super admin would need to disable Allow Web Login. Please note that this would remove the user's ability to log in to GoToConnect entirely. We do not currently have a way to remove their access to just the meeting portion of the product.
Please contact Customer Support and ask for the product to be turned off.
As long as you set them up correctly (see step 2 above), they will also receive free meetings during the 90-day window.
If this is the case, no additional licenses will be added for those users because you can only assign one license per user/email address.
Your contract will transition to a month-to-month contract, and you will continue to receive free meetings for the full 90-day window.
