How do I determine the source of unwanted noise during a webinar?
Are you hearing audio feedback during the session? It can be helpful to figure out where the unwanted noise is coming from so the right individual can troubleshoot the issue.
Only I can hear the unwanted noise.
If you are connected to Computer audio mode (computer mic and speakers), then there is most likely an issue with your audio device. Try unplugging your headset from the computer and then plugging it back in again. See How do I fix audio feedback (echo, static) during my session? for more information.
If you are connected to Phone mode, then there is most likely an issue with your telephone service provider. See How do I fix audio feedback (echo, static) during my session? for more information.
Everyone can hear the unwanted noise except me.
All participants can hear the unwanted noise.
- Open the Attendees pane.
- In the Staff tab, click the Mute All icon.
- Unmute each staff member one at a time, and have them start speaking.
- When the unwanted noise returns, the most recently unmuted participant can be identified as the source of the echo. They should then try the troubleshooting steps listed in How do I fix audio feedback (echo, static) during my session?.
