Use live captions
Enable live captions (closed captions) during your session to improve your experience.

Google Slides
This option provides captioning for the audio of the presenter only.
Microsoft PowerPoint
This option provides captioning for the audio of the presenter only. You must be running PowerPoint v16.0.11601.20178 (Windows) or v16.22.127.0 (Mac) to use subtitles.
YouTube Studio
These steps are for adding captions to pre-loaded videos; however, you can also add automatic captions to live streamed videos (English only) using the streaming settings.
- Sign in to your YouTube Studio.
- Select Subtitles in the left navigation menu and then select the desired video.
- Select next to the subtitles you want to edit.
- Review automatic captions and edit or remove any parts that haven't been properly transcribed.
Google Chrome
This option only captions media played through the Chrome browser.
- Open Chrome.
- From the top right, select .
- Enable Live Caption.
What to do next: When you play a video, select
Media control to turn on captions. If your video is set to autoplay, be sure to turn on the video volume for live captions to work.
