Learn all about how to get started as a GoToMeeting attendee. GoToMeeting takes the hassle out of joining teleconference sessions. To get started, click on the included URL link in the meeting invitation email. Alternatively, you can dial in using your telephone using the phone number and meeting ID provided. You can also visit and click on the Join a Meeting tab in the upper right of the homepage, entering the meeting ID in the field and clicking Join. If the GoToMeeting software isn’t installed on your device, you will join through the GoToMeeting web app via your web browser, where you can then join through computer audio or your telephone. In the next window, enter your name and email, and click OK. If the organizer is not yet ready to present, you will be taken to the Waiting to view the organizer’s screen window, which will disappear once the meeting begins. Once the meeting is in session, you will have access to a range of controls and settings via the control panel on the right side of your screen. These controls will give you access to audio and video settings (including webcam settings), attendee information, chat options, and control panel language settings. You can also access support options via the question mark icon in the lower right. To access full GoToMeeting functionality — including keyboard and mouse control sharing, drawing tools, and screen sharing — you’ll need to download the full GoToMeeting software, which you can do while still in the session. You can also switch between desktop and browser versions without leaving your current session.
