How do I connect using my computer mic and speakers from the desktop app?

You can connect to the meeting audio over the internet (VoIP), which allows you to use mic and speakers plugged into your computer or mobile device.

Note: We are in the process of rolling out a new meeting experience in the GoTo application! This article covers the classic GoToMeeting experience. If you are seeing something different, click here for help.
  1. Ensure that your mic and speakers are properly plugged in to your computer. We recommend using a USB headset plugged directly into the computer.
  2. Select Computer audio as follows:

    • Before the session launches, click the Settings icon and select the Computer tab. In this window, you can select which audio device can be used for microphone and speakers, test your speakers, and check volume meters.
    • While in session, click the Settings icon in the toolbar or Control Panel and select the Computer tab.

    Note: If you do not want to see the preview window, you can check the Skip preview next time box. This will remember your audio and camera option and set it as the default for future sessions.
