Connect your iOS Calendar to join.me

Allow join.me for iOS to access your iPhone or iPad Calendar so you can start or join meetings with one motion, directly from a notification on your device.

Notification exampleOn iPhones, you can start an audio-only meeting directly from a notification. Swipe left to view your options.
Notification optionsSyncing your calendar works with any accounts added to your iPhone or iPad under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. This includes any account type that is supported on iOS: iCloud, Exchange, Google, Yahoo, AOL, and Outlook.

Connect your calendar to join.me

The app should automatically ask you to connect your calendar once you update to v4.9 or newer. Otherwise, you can connect your calendar from your device's settings.
Important: When prompted, be sure to allow join.me to access your Calendar and send you notifications.
  1. Allow join.me to access your calendar.
    1. In your iOS settings, go to Settings > Privacy.
    2. Select Calendars and enable join.me.
  2. Allow join.me to send you notifications.
    1. In your iOS settings, go to Settings > Notifications.
    2. Locate join.me on the list and enable Allow Notifications. All other notification settings are optional.

Creating meetings that are easy to start and join

Once your calendar is connected, join.me displays a meeting notification one minute prior to the start of every event (with invitees) that's on your Calendar.

To make it easy for guests to connect, follow these guidelines.
  • Include at least one guest. Calendar events without guests aren't considered meetings, so they won't appear in join.me.
  • Include your personal link in the calendar event's Location or Notes field.
Note: If you forget to include your personal link in the event, open the join.me app and select + > Add join.me.
    Add join.me
  • Events without join.me information still triggers a notification a minute before the meeting. Select the notification to start the meeting using your personal link. Guests will receive a meeting update with your personal link.

Disconnect your calendar

You can disconnect your calendar from your device settings.
  1. In your iOS settings, select Settings > Privacy > Calendars.
  2. Disable join.me.
