Add users

LITE, PRO, and BUSINESS subscribers can build a team by adding users to their account. Users are able to use join.me, but their account will be part of the owner's account.

Add users one at a time

As a LITE, PRO, or BUSINESS subscriber, you are able to add users in the Admin console.

  1. On the join.me website, log in to your LITE, PRO or BUSINESS account and click Users.

Result: The Admin console is displayed.

  2. Click +Add users.

Result: The Add new user window is displayed.

  3. Provide the user's Email, First name, and Last name.
  4. Optional: If using Feature Sets (BUSINESS only), choose the set to apply to the user
  5. Click Send invite.

Results:

Invited users receive an email notification from join.me. They should click the link to activate their account and then download the join.me desktop app.

Tip: During a join.me trial you can add as many users as you would like. After the trial has ended, you must purchase a subscription for each user in your account if you want them to keep premium features.

What to do next:
  • If a user does not receive the invitation, ask them to go to the join.me website and sign up for an account with the email address that you used to sent them an invitation. Once they sign up, they will be prompted to accept their invitation.
  • To track invitation status, look for the Subscription column. Each invited user's subscription is listed as 'Invited'. Once they accept their join.me invitation, their subscription changes to 'Paid'.

Add multiple users (Bulk import – BUSINESS only)

As an Owner or Admin in a BUSINESS account, you are able to bulk import users by uploading a .csv file.

  1. On the join.me website, log in to your BUSINESS account and click Users.

Result: The Admin console is displayed.

  2. Use the template provided in the Admin console to create your list of users.
Important: Do not change the name of any column headers! Do not add additional columns! Your import will fail and you'll need to try again.
Note: When importing users in bulk, everyone is assigned the User role; the Role value is not taken into consideration even if present as a column in the import file.
  3. Click Browse to locate and upload the file you just created.
  4. Optional: If using Feature Sets, choose the feature set to apply to the imported users.
  5. Click Import users.
Important: Subscriptions are allocated on a "first come, first serve" basis. Make sure you have enough seats for everyone you invite.

Result: Failed import? When using the template, remember not to change the name of any column headers! Do not add additional columns!
