How do I change a user's name on a device?

Identify your phones in the office by changing the name that appears on the actual device (e.g., “Front Desk” or “CEO”).

You must have admin or super admin permissions.

  1. Log in at https://my.jive.com/pbx.
  2. Click Devices in the left sidebar and then click the device that needs a new name.
  3. From Device Settings > General Settings, set the Station Label field to Use and then enter the desired label (name).
  4. Click Save.
  5. Power cycle the phone to apply the changes. Changing the name on a device does not affect the caller ID. The way in which the name displays on the device depends on your specific phone model.
