Script deployment example: enabling BitLocker for Windows 10

Learn how to enable BitLocker on Windows 10 Pro devices using a PowerShell script and LogMeIn Resolve MDM's advanced application deployment feature.

Before you begin: Ensure that your managed devices run Windows 10 Pro.
For instructions on the recommended way to enable BitLocker on your managed Windows devices, see Enable BitLocker for Windows.
  1. Download EnableBitLocker.ps1.
  2. In LogMeIn Resolve MDM, navigate to Management > Applications and select Add > Windows application.
  3. Select Advanced (file upload), then select Next.
  4. Enter the application details:
    • Description: A short description for your application.
    • Application name: The name of your application.
    • Uploaded file: Upload the downloaded EnableBitlocker.ps1 file by clicking Select file.
    • Command type: Select Execute PowerShell from the drop-down list.
    • PowerShell script: Enter .\EnableBitLocker.ps1 in the text box.
    • Success return codes: Optionally, specify a return code or a range of return codes for successful script execution. If the field is left empty, the system uses 0 as the default success return code.
    • Required free disk space (MB): Optionally, specify the minimum free disk space that must be available on the managed device before deploying the application.

  5. Select Create, then Close to exit the wizard.
  6. Deploy the application to your managed devices as described in Deploy apps and scripts to Windows devices.
