Quickstart

Learn how to do the most common functions on your phone. For information not covered below, please refer to the manufacturer’s user guide.

On-Device Call Recording

Record calls and access recording from the menu when a flash drive is inserted into the USB port at the top of your phone.

Restriction: This feature must be enabled by GoToConnect. Please contact us for assistance.
  1. While on an active call, press the More softkey.
  2. Press the StartREC softkey.
  3. Press the More > StopREC softkeys to end recording.
  4. To access your call files, press the Menu softkey.
  5. Select USB > Browse Audio.
  6. Press Play or Delete to manage files.

Call Forwarding

Automatically forward incoming calls to an internal extension or external number.

Tip: If you need to forward a single call, press the Forward softkey while your phone rings to send the caller to another person.
  1. Tap the Menu softkey.
  2. Select Features > Call Forward.
  3. Turn On the desired forwarding type.
    • Always : Forwards all incoming calls.
    • No Answer : Forwards all unanswered incoming calls.
    • Busy : Forwards all incoming calls while you're in a call.
      Note: Call waiting must be disabled to use call forward busy (Menu > Features > Call Waiting).
  4. Dial the forwarding destination (internal extension or external number).
  5. If you selectedNo Answer, enter how many rings to wait before forwarding.
  6. Tap the Save softkey.
What to do next: To disable call forwarding, disable the forwarding type.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Stop your phone from ringing and send all incoming calls directly to voicemail.

Tap to enable.
Your phone logs any missed calls in your call history.
What to do next: To disable DND, tap .

Voicemail Access

Check your voicemail from your phone.

  1. Press .
  2. Dial your password (default 0000).
    Download your Voicemail Menu Guide.

Speed Dial

Assign regularly dialed numbers to additional line keys on your phone.

  1. Tap and hold an unassigned Line key.
  2. Change the Type to Speed Dial.
  3. Enter a Name and Number.
  4. Tap the Save softkey.

3-Way Calls

Speak with two parties simultaneously by creating a mini-conference call on your line.

  1. While on an active call, tap the Conference softkey.
  2. Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.
  3. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
  4. Tap Conference again.

Transfer A Call

Warm Transfer

Place a current call on hold and speak with the destination party before transferring the call.

  1. While on an active call, press .
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Speak to the destination party.
    Tip: To cancel a warm transfer and go back to the original call, look for the Cancel or EndCall softkey.
  4. Press .

Blind Transfer

Transfer a call to another party without speaking to them first.

  1. While on an active call, press .
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Press before the destination party answers.
    Tip: To transfer a call directly to voicemail, dial 0 + extension.

Hold

Place a call on hold while you take some time to look up an answer to a question or answer another call.

  1. Press to hold.
  2. Press to retrieve the call.

Modify Ringtone

Choose a new ringtone for your phone or assign a different ringtone to each of your lines.

  1. Tap the Menu softkey.
  2. Select Basic > Sound > Ring Tones.
  3. If there are multiple lines assigned to your phone, select the line you wish to modify.
  4. Select the desired ringtone (highlight to sample ringtones).
    Note: This phone supports silent ringtones.
  5. Tap the Save softkey.

Presence Monitoring

Visually monitor the speed dial contacts assigned to your phone to know whether or not they are on an active call. These line keys will light up (busy lamp field) indicating if someone is busy or available.

  • To presence monitor, a system admin must enable this feature on your phone.
  • The lines you want to presence monitor must be speed dial assignments on your phone.
  • The number of contacts you can presence monitor is limited the number of line keys on your phone.

Provisioning

Before you begin:
  1. Verify you have created a device profile.
  2. Verify you have assigned the phone's MAC address to the device profile.
  3. Verify you have properly plugged in the phone.

From the Web UI

Learn how to provision your phone from the web UI.

  1. Tap the Menu key.
  2. Select Status and then write down the phone's IP Address.
  3. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, enter the IP address in the address (URL) bar and then press enter on your keyboard. If the web UI doesn't load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.
  4. Enter your Device Admin Password.
    Tip:
    • To find your password, log in at https://my.jive.com/pbx and then click Security in the left sidebar.
    • The password may also be the default password, admin.
  5. Go to Settings > Auto Provision.
  6. Enter https://rtcprov.net/~[domain] for the Server URL.
    Note: Replace [domain] with your unique domain (found in parentheses at the top of the admin dashboard).
  7. Click Confirm > Auto Provision Now > Yes.
What to do next: If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.

From the Phone

Learn on to provision your phone from the phone itself. These steps are for a generic Yealink and some differences may be found within each Yealink phone.

  1. Select Menu.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. End your Device Admin Password.
    Tip:
    • To find your password, log in at https://my.jive.com/pbx and then click Security in the left sidebar.
    • The password may also be the default password, admin.
  4. Select Auto Provision
  5. Select URL.
  6. Enter http://‹domain›.onjive.com/p for the Server URL.
    Note: Replace [domain] with your unique domain. PBX Administration (classic) users will find their domain in the parentheses at the top of their portal dashboard. portal users will find their domain in Account Settings.
  7. Select Save.
    Note: Depending on the phone, some phone models require the users to select Back or Exit until it asked to save. Some phones have a Save option immediately.
What to do next: If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.

Factory Reset

Factory resetting a phone is when you restore a device to its original factory settings. This will delete everything that was previously on the device.

  1. Press and hold down the OK button for 10 seconds.
  2. Press OK when it asks if you want to "Reset to Factory?".

    Result: The phone will automatically reboot.

Reset Secure Provisioning

After you factory reset a phone, you’ll need to reset secure provisioning from the admin portal so it can reconnect.

  1. Sign in to PBX Administration (classic) at https://my.jive.com/pbx.
  2. Click Devices in the left sidebar and then choose the device that needs secure provisioning reset.
  3. From Hardware > Reset Secure Provisioning, click Reset.
