Explore the phone page in the GoTo app
From the phone page of the GoTo app, you can access various features such as the softphone to make and receive calls, your voicemail box, and call history. Select your endpoint below to learn how to use this page.
Desktop or web app
Dialpad
- Select the desired phone number to use as the outbound caller ID from the Calling from drop-down menu (only applicable if you have multiple lines).
- A system admin must enable outbound caller ID selection on your phone numbers to change your outgoing caller ID.
- Place a call by either dialing the number directly with the keypad or using the search bar to select from your saved contacts.
- Select
to change your preferences for how the softphone tool appears such as docking the window and seeing either a mini or expanded version.
- Select
to change your audio and phone window settings, such as the default microphone and speaker it will use, or the placement of the softphone window in relation to other screens.
- Mute/unmute
- Transfer the call
- Dial in an additional caller
- Place the current call on hold
- Use speaker mode

Calls
If you select a specific entry, additional details and tools become available such as the ability to call or message them (pending SMS permissions), or create/edit their contact information.
Voicemail
Hover over or select an entry to play or delete the voicemail, call or message (pending SMS permissions) the caller back, or mark the message as read/unread. Selecting the entry opens additional options to create/edit their contact information.
Fax
When enabled, you can receive, manage, and share virtual faxes from your mobile app. Faxes will be stored for a maximum of 90 days in the app, however, larger files over 10MB will be deleted after 21 days.
Available for United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Australia, France, Spain, and Austria. Virtual faxing is supported internationally to 50+ countries for free, excluding Mexico and Brazil.

Mobile app

- From the bottom navigation menu, select Phone.
- Expand the sections below to learn more about your available options.
Calls
