Quickstart

Learn how to do the most common functions on your phone. For information not covered below, please refer to the manufacturer’s user guide.

Call Forwarding

Automatically forward incoming calls to an internal extension or external number.

There is only one type of forwarding for this device – all incoming calls will be forwarded.
  1. Dial *72.
  2. Dial the forwarding destination (internal extension or external number).
What to do next: To disable call forwarding, dial *73.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Stop your phone from ringing and send all incoming calls directly to voicemail.

  1. Press the Options softkey.
  2. Select DND.
  3. Select Enabled or Disabled to enable/disable.
    Your phone logs any missed calls in your call history.

Voicemail Access

Check your voicemail from your phone.

  1. Dial *99.
  2. Dial your password (default 0000).

Speed Dial

Assign regularly dialed numbers to additional line keys on your phone.

This phone does not support this feature.

3-Way Calls

Speak with two parties simultaneously by creating a mini-conference call on your line.

  1. Press the Hold softkey to place the current call on hold.
  2. Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.
  3. Press the Green Phone key.
  4. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
  5. Press the Options softkey.
  6. Select Conference.

Transfer A Call

Warm Transfer

Place a current call on hold and speak with the destination party before transferring the call.

  1. While on an active call, press the Hold softkey to place the current call on hold.
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Press the Green Phone key to speak with the destination party.
  4. Press the Options softkey.
  5. Select Transfer.

Blind Transfer

Transfer a call to another party without speaking to them first.

  1. While on an active call, press Hold > Options.
  2. Select Transfer.
  3. Press the Green Phone key.
  4. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
    Tip: To transfer a call directly to voicemail, dial 0 + extension.

Hold

Place a call on hold while you take some time to look up an answer to a question or answer another call.

  1. Select Hold Call.
  2. Press the Red Phone key to retrieve the call.

Modify Ringtone

Choose a new ringtone for your phone or assign a different ringtone to each of your lines.

  1. Press the center navigation key to access Preferences.
  2. Select Audio settings > Ringer melody > Voip.
  3. If there are multiple lines assigned to your phone, select the line you wish to modify.
  4. Highlight the desired ringtone (press the Play softkey to sample ringtones).
  5. Press the center navigation key.
    Note: This phone does not support silent ringtones.

Presence Monitoring

Visually monitor the speed dial contacts assigned to your phone to know whether or not they are on an active call. These line keys will light up (busy lamp field) indicating if someone is busy or available.

Provisioning

Before you begin:
  1. Verify you have created a device profile.
  2. Verify you have assigned the phone's MAC address to the device profile.
  3. Verify you have properly plugged in the phone.

From the Web UI

Learn how to provision your phone from the web UI.

  1. Log into your router and look at the attached device or use a mac scanner to find the IP address. The mac scanner website is http://www.colasoft.com/mac_scanner/.
  2. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, enter the IP address in the address (URL) bar and then press enter on your keyboard. If the web UI doesn't load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.
    Note: If you are prompted to enter a password, contact Customer Support for assistance.
  3. Select Advanced > Update.
  4. Enter the following settings:
    Option Description
    Transfer Protocol HTTP
    Configuration Address http://‹domain›.onjive.com/p
    Note: Replace ‹domain› with your unique domain. PBX Administration (classic) users will find their domain in the parentheses at the top of their portal dashboard. portal users will find their domain in Account Settings.
  5. Press Save Changes > Advanced > Reboot.
What to do next: If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.

Factory Reset

Factory resetting a phone is when you restore a device to its original factory settings. This will delete everything that was previously on the device.

  1. Press and hold down the Reset button on the back of the base for 10 seconds.
  2. Once all of the lights are lit, release the button.

    Result: The phone will automatically reboot.
