Polycom VVX D60

Quickstart

Learn how to do the most common functions on your phone. For information not covered below, please refer to the manufacturer’s user guide.

Pair Your Handset(s)

Pair your handsets to your base station.

  • This handset is compatible with the Polycom VVX 3xx, 4xx, 5xx and 6xx business series phones.
  • Up to 5 handsets can be paired with this base station.
  • The base station cannot pair to a desk phone with a sidecar. Disconnect any sidecars before pairing the VVX D60 base station.
  1. Enable the VVX D60 feature.
    1. On your compatible desk phone, select Settings > Advanced.
    2. Enter your Device Admin Password.
    3. Select Administration Settings > VVX D60 Configuration > VVX D60 Profile.
    4. Press Enable.
  2. On your compatible desk phone, select Settings > Features > VVX D60 Configuration.
  3. Select Settings > Registration > Register Handset.
  4. Select Base Station > Automatic Pairing.
  5. Select the base station to pair with and then press Pair.

Register Your Handset(s)

Register up to 5 handsets to your base station.

  1. On the handset, press the Menu softkey.
  2. Select Settings > Features > Registration > Register.
  3. Press and hold Find on the base station for 3-5 seconds.
  4. Select Yes on the handset to confirm the registration.
    Note:
    • To deregister a handset, go to Menu > Settings > Features > Registration > Deregister.
    • For information on additional registration methods, refer to page 14 of the user manual.

Call Forwarding

Automatically forward incoming calls to an internal extension or external number.

These settings are enabled from the menu of the paired deskphone.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Stop your phone from ringing and send all incoming calls directly to voicemail.

These settings are enabled from the menu of the paired deskphone.

Voicemail Access

Check your voicemail from your phone.

  1. Dial *99.
  2. Dial your password (default 0000).

Speed Dial

This feature is not supported on this device.

3-Way Calls

Speak with two parties simultaneously by creating a mini-conference call on your line.

  1. While on an active call, press the New Call softkey.
  2. Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.
  3. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
  4. Press the Options > Conference softkeys.

Transfer A Call

Warm Transfer

Place a current call on hold and speak with the destination party before transferring the call.

  1. While on an active call, press the Options > Transfer softkeys.
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Speak to the destination party.
    Tip: To cancel a warm transfer and go back to the original call, press the red hangup key and then Options > Resume.
  4. Press Transfer again.

Blind Transfer

Transfer a call to another party without speaking to them first.

  1. While on an active call, press the Options > Blind Transfer softkeys.
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Press the Transfer softkey.
    Tip: To transfer a call directly to voicemail, dial 0 + extension.

Hold

Place a call on hold while you take some time to look up an answer to a question or answer another call.

  1. Press the Options > Hold softkeys.
  2. Press the Options > Resume softkeys to retrieve the call.

Modify Ringtone

Choose a new ringtone for your phone or assign a different ringtone to each of your lines.

  1. Press the Menu softkey.
  2. Select Settings > Preferences > Ring Type.
  3. Choose Internal Calls or External Calls.
  4. Select the desired ringtone (highlight to sample ringtones).
  5. Press the OK softkey.
    Note: This device supports silent ringtones.

Presence Monitoring

The device does not support this feature.

Provisioning

Before you begin:
  1. Verify you have created a device profile.
  2. Verify you have assigned the phone's MAC address to the device profile.
  3. Verify you have properly plugged in the phone.

From the Web UI

Learn how to provision your phone from the web UI.

  1. Press OK on the handset to access Settings > Basestation Info and then write down the phone's IP Address.
  2. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, enter the IP address in the address (URL) bar and then press enter on your keyboard. If the web UI doesn't load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.
  3. Enter admin as your Device Admin Username.
  4. Enter your Device Admin Password.
    Important: To find your password, log in at https://admin.goto.com/ and then navigate from Devices > Select the desired device > Settings > General > Device password.
  5. Go to System Management > Auto Provisioning > ITSP Provisioning.
  6. Enter the following settings:

    Note: Replace [domain] with your unique domain. PBX Administration (classic) users will find their domain in the parentheses at the top of their portal dashboard. portal users will find their domain in Account Settings.
  7. Press Submit > Reboot.
What to do next: If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.

Factory Reset

Factory resetting a phone is when you restore a device to its original factory settings. This will delete everything that was previously on the device.

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Select Settings > Advanced.
  3. Enter 8647 for the password. If this does not work, try 456 or contact Customer Support for assistance.
  4. Select Administrative Settings > Reset to Defaults > Reset to Factory > Yes.

    Result: The phone will automatically reboot.
