Quickstart

Learn how to do the most common functions on your phone. For information not covered below, please refer to the manufacturer’s user guide.

Tip: Did you know there’s a GoTo app? You can access your calls, meetings, and messaging anywhere, on any device. Download the GoTo app now!

Register Your Handset(s)

Press and hold Find on the base station for 5 seconds. The light should blink.
On the handset, select OK > Settings > Registration > Register.
Ignore the displayed message and wait for the base station name to show up.
Select Yes on the handset to confirm the registration.
Note:
- To deregister a handset, go to OK > Settings > Registration > Deregister.

Call Forwarding

Automatically forward incoming calls to an internal extension or external number.

Select Menu > Call Forward.
Select the desired forwarding type:
- Unconditionally: Forwards all incoming calls.
- No Answer: Forwards all unanswered incoming calls.
- Busy: Forwards calls that arrive when you're already in a call.
Press On.
Enter the internal extension or external number to which calls will be forwarded.
If you selected No Answer, enter how many seconds to wait before forwarding.
Press the Save softkey, (to disable call forwarding, press the Delete softkey).

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Stop your phone from ringing and send all incoming calls directly to voicemail.

Press Menu > Do Not Disturb.
Then select Enable or Disable.
Press the OK softkey.

Voicemail Access

Check your voicemail from your phone.

Select Menu > Messages > Message Center.
Choose a line and then press Select.
Dial your password (default 0000).

Speed Dial

You can quickly call contacts from the wireless handset using speed dial.

Before you begin: Save the contact as a speed dial entry.

Press and hold the number key for your speed dial entry.
If programmed for speed dials, press a function key for your speed dial entry.

3-Way Calls

Speak with two parties simultaneously by creating a mini-conference call on your line.

While on an active call, press the Options > Conference softkeys to place the call on hold.
Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.
Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
Press the Options > Conference softkeys and the two calls are now joined into a 3-way call.

Transfer A Call

Warm Transfer

Place a current call on hold and speak with the destination party before transferring the call.

While on an active call, press the Options > Transfer softkeys.
Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
Press Call.
Speak to the destination party.

Tip: To cancel a warm transfer and go back to the original call, press the red hangup key and then Options > Resume.
Press Transfer again.

Blind Transfer

Transfer a call to another party without speaking to them first.

While on an active call, press the Options > Blind Transfer softkeys.
Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
Press the Transfer softkey.

Tip: To transfer a call directly to voicemail, dial 0 + extension.

Hold

Place a call on hold while you take some time to look up an answer to a question or answer another call.

Press the Options > Hold softkeys.
Press the Options > Resume softkeys to retrieve the call.

Modify Ringtone

Choose a new ringtone for your phone or assign a different ringtone to each of your lines.

Press OK.
Select Preferences > Ring Type.
Choose Internal Calls or External Calls.
Select the desired ringtone (highlight to sample ringtones).
Press the OK softkey.

Note: This device supports silent ringtones.

Emergency Calls

The device has an emergency button you can quickly press to call an emergency service, such as 911 or on-site security.

Press and hold the Emergency button for 5 seconds.

Presence Monitoring

The device does not support this feature.

Provisioning

Before you begin:

Verify you have created a device profile.
Verify you have assigned the phone's MAC address to the device profile.
Verify you have properly plugged in the phone.

From the Web UI

Learn how to provision your phone from the web UI.

These are the instructions to provision the base for this handset, the Poly Rove B2.

Press OK on the handset to access Settings > Info and then write down the phone's IP Address.
Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, enter the IP address in the address (URL) bar and then press enter on your keyboard. If the web UI doesn't load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.
Enter admin as your Device Admin Username.
Enter your Device Admin Password.
Tip:
- To find your password, log in at https://my.jive.com/pbx and then click Security in the left sidebar.
- The password may also be the default password, admin.
Go to System Management > Auto Provisioning > ITSP Provisioning.
Remove the default checkmarks for Method, ProvisioningOption, and UCSServer.

Enter the following settings:

Option	Description
Parameter Name:	Value:
Method	Select System Start from the drop-down menu. Note: This will change to Time Of Day after initial provisioning, which is expected.
ProvisioningOption	Select UCSServer from the drop-down menu.
UCSServer	Enter `http://rtcprov.net/~<domain>` or `http://<domain>.onjive.com/p` Note: Replace `‹domain›` with your unique domain. PBX Administration (classic) users will find their domain in the parentheses at the top of their portal dashboard. portal users will find their domain in Account Settings.

Click Submit > Ok/Yes.
Result: You will see a message that says that the configuration will take effect shortly.
Click Reboot in the top right corner. You can also select Force Reboot which will end any active calls.
Result: The phone will automatically update its configuration and reboot (possibly more than once). A new firmware file may be downloaded during the upgrade process for your base station.
Troubleshooting: Depending on the firmware your device was previously on, it is possible that the provisioning url will be erased by the device after upgrading. Once the base station has finished the reboot, verify that UCSServer maintained it's value before closing the browser window. You may see ;$DHCPOPT66 after the URL (which is fine). If the URL was erased, you will need to repeat steps 6-9.

What to do next: If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.

Factory Reset

Factory resetting a phone is when you restore a device to its original factory settings. This will delete everything that was previously on the device.

Press the Menu button.
Select Settings > Advanced.
Enter 8647 for the password. If this does not work, try 456 or contact Customer Support for assistance.
Select Administrative Settings > Reset to Defaults > Reset to Factory > Yes.
Result: The phone will automatically reboot.
