Assign a user to a direct extension
Assign a user to a direct extension, also known as a line. The direct extension can be assigned as a primary or secondary extension.
Users can only be assigned to only one primary extension but can be assigned to an unlimited number of secondary extensions. If you assign a user to a primary extension when the user is already assigned to a different primary extension, the user will be reassigned.
Before you begin: You must have an admin or super admin
role to perform this task.
- Sign in to GoTo Admin.
- From
Phone system > Direct extensions, select the direct extension where you want to assign a user. - From , select +Assign to user.
- Enter the name of the user or use the drop-down menu to select the desired user.
- Determine if the extension should be a primary or secondary extension for the user.
- Select Assign when finished.
