Quickstart

Learn how to do the most common functions on your phone. For information not covered below, please refer to the manufacturer’s user guide.

Call Forwarding

Automatically forward incoming calls to an internal extension or external number.

Before you begin: If you need to forward a single call, press the Forward softkey while your phone rings to send the caller to another person.
Watch Video
  1. Dial:
    • *72: Forwards all incoming calls. (All/Unconditional)
    • *90: Forwards all unanswered incoming calls. (No Answer/Delayed)
    • *92: Forwards all incoming calls while you're in a call. (Busy)
  2. Dial the forwarding destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Press the Ok softkey.
What to do next: To disable call forwarding, dial *73 All/Unconditional, *91 Busy, or *93 No Answer/Delayed.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Stop your phone from ringing and send all incoming calls directly to voicemail.

When the phone is idle, press to enable/disable.
Your phone logs any missed calls in your call history.

Voicemail Access

Check your voicemail from your phone.

  1. Tap .
  2. Dial your password (default 0000).

Speed Dial

Assign regularly dialed numbers to additional line keys on your phone.

Before you begin: Please contact your system admin regarding your speed dial assignments.

3-Way Calls

Speak with two parties simultaneously by creating a mini-conference call on your line.

Watch Video
  1. While on an active call, press the conference button.
  2. Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.
  3. Press the Dial softkey.
  4. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
  5. Press the conference button again.

Transfer A Call

Warm Transfer

Place a current call on hold and speak with the destination party before transferring the call.

  1. Press an unprogrammed Line key to place the current call on hold and initiate a new call.
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Speak to the destination party.
  4. Press and then press the flashing Line key of the call that is on hold.

Blind Transfer

Transfer a call to another party without speaking to them first.

  1. While on an active call, press .
  2. Dial the transfer destination (internal extension or external number).
  3. Press .
    Tip: To transfer a call directly to voicemail, dial 0 + extension.

Hold

Place a call on hold while you take some time to look up an answer to a question or answer another call.

  1. Press .
  2. Press the flashing Line key to retrieve the call.

Modify Ringtone

Choose a new ringtone for your phone or assign a different ringtone to each of your lines.

  1. Press .
  2. Select Preference > Sounds > Ring Tone.
  3. Select the desired ringtone (highlight to sample ringtones).
  4. Press again.
    Note: This phone does not support silent ringtones.

Presence Monitoring

Visually monitor the speed dial contacts assigned to your phone to know whether or not they are on an active call. These line keys will light up (busy lamp field) indicating if someone is busy or available.

  • To presence monitor, a system admin must enable this feature on your phone.
  • The lines you want to presence monitor must be speed dial assignments on your phone.
  • The number of contacts you can presence monitor is limited the number of line keys on your phone.

Provisioning

Before you begin:
  1. Verify you have created a device profile.
  2. Verify you have assigned the phone's MAC address to the device profile.
  3. Verify you have properly plugged in the phone.

From the Web UI

Learn how to provision your phone from the web UI.

  1. Press .
  2. Select Status > Network Status and then write down the phone's IPv4 Address.
  3. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, enter the IP address in the address (URL) bar and then press enter on your keyboard. If the web UI doesn't load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.
  4. Enter admin as the username and the password.
  5. Go to Maintenance > Upgrade & Provisioning.
  6. Enter ‹domain›.onjive.com/p for the Config Server Path.
    Note: Replace ‹domain› with your unique domain (found in parentheses at the top of the admin portal dashboard).
  7. Press Save & Apply > Reboot > OK.
What to do next: If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.

Factory Reset

Factory resetting a phone is when you restore a device to its original factory settings. This will delete everything that was previously on the device.

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Select Config > Factory Reset > Ok.
    Note: If it asks you for a password, enter the phone's MAC address found on the back of the device.

    Result: The phone will automatically reboot.
