How do I set up instant response text messages?
Enable instant response to send an automatic text response to missed calls from new customers. Customize different instant response messages for each phone number as needed.
You can customize different instant response messages for each phone number as needed. Instant responses will only be sent to callers who are not an existing contact.
Instant response messages will not be sent for the following reasons:
- First-time callers who leave a voicemail
- Repeat callers
- Callers who hang up without selecting an extension
Before you begin:
At least one user must be given texting permissions prior to performing this task.
- Sign in to GoTo Admin.
- Select and then choose the phone number.
- Select the Settings tab and then choose Instant Response.
- In the Instant response message field, customize the message as needed.
- Enable Activate Instant Response.
- Select Save.
